On Saturday 11th July 2026, APL Security Group had the pleasure of providing security and car park management for the Goosnargh & Longridge Agricultural Society at their annual show. It's exactly the kind of event we love being part of, a real celebration of the local farming community, bringing thousands of visitors together for a brilliant day out in the Lancashire countryside.
Agricultural shows present a unique set of challenges. You're managing large crowds, livestock, trade stands, arena events and heavy vehicle movement, all across an open, rural site. Our team planned carefully in the run-up to the event, working closely with the organisers to understand the layout, the flow of the day and the areas that needed the most attention.
On the day, our SIA licensed operatives provided a visible, reassuring presence throughout the showground, keeping visitors, exhibitors and animals safe from gates open to close. Our car park management team kept traffic moving smoothly, directing hundreds of vehicles into the fields efficiently and safely, minimising queues and making sure everyone could get in, parked and enjoying the show as quickly as possible.
Good event security is about far more than standing at a gate. It's about anticipating problems before they happen, being approachable and helpful, and letting people relax and enjoy themselves knowing everything is under control. That's the standard our team delivered all day long.
